Drive
Just came out of Curzon Soho where I’ve just seen a screening of Drive.
There was a bit too much hype surrounding this film that, at first made me feel like it might not deliver anymore than occupying a couple of hours in my life; unfortunately in most situations mainstream hype doesn’t tend to make for a compelling and gripping story or plot relying usually on set piece structure and cgi to wow. When I found out it was directed by Nicolas Winding Refn who had directed a great character piece in Bronson I thought it’s definitely worth watching.
